The Labra Brothers - “Waiting”

The Labra Brothers are a band from the Northeast section of Ohio with a sound described as Latin Funk and Soul.  When you hit play on their latest single, “Waiting,” you’ll immediately hear traces of Carlos Santana, which they name as one of their many influences.  The Labra Brothers have a rich musical background with a long list of genres that were introduced to them at a young age, which is apparent when listening to the moments of instrumentals on this track and many of their other songs they’ve produced.

“Waiting” has a great message with the idea of not waiting for something to happen in your life, but to go out there and chase your dreams.  If you wait too long, you’re going to be stuck where you are.  Instead of dwelling on what happened in the past, it’s time to make a move and stop waiting around.  With lyrics like, “Now’s not the time to be doubtful, we’re gonna make it ok,” the listener will feel motivated to block the doubts in their mind and go achieve your dreams and goals.

As you dig deeper into “Waiting,” The Labra Brothers will have the listener searching their name for more of their music.  With their many musical influences and incredible talent, they’ve developed a sound that you don’t hear much of these days.  Listening to “Waiting” is like the equivalent of eating a Lay’s potato chip, I bet you can’t just listen to one!  So, do yourself a favor and after indulging in “Waiting,” look up the rest of their discography, follow them on social media, and be on the lookout for new music coming Friday, February 25th!
