Tony Lucca - “Wiggle It Out (feat. Chris Kirkpatrick)”

Music heals in many different ways.  When you’re feeling a certain way, you know there’s always going to be that one song that helps you sort out your feelings.  Sometimes it’s the lyrics of a song that’s there for you like your favorite person in the whole world sitting next to you holding your hand.  Maybe the actual instruments that come together take you away from what’s weighing on your mind.  Then there’s that special song that makes you forget anything that’s on your mind at that moment and take a break to “Wiggle It Out” and have some fun.

Last month, singer/songwriter, Tony Lucca, released a new single, “Wiggle It Out.”  The song is a bit of a change in pace for Lucca, who is well known for his thought provoking, beautiful lyrics, usually playing with an acoustic guitar or a piano like many extremely talented singer/songwriters.  When you think of musicians sitting in a circle on stage at iconic venues like the Bluebird in Nashville, you picture Lucca sitting among them.  “Wiggle It Out” was brought to life when Lucca was asked to be a part of a various artist compilation project to help raise money for Children’s Hospital, so of course he couldn’t turn that down.

While “Wiggle It Out” is out of his normal wheelhouse, fans of Lucca have experienced a funky, playful side with past songs like “Hear Ya Say” or “Foxy Jane,” which have always gotten the crowd moving.  Lucca doesn’t come off as a “pop” act, but he has so many layers to his music that he’s able to surprise fans with a fun, pop jam like “Wiggle It Out.”  What better way to bring the pop than adding ‘NSync’s own Chris Kirkpatrick to the mix with backing vocals.

Tony Lucca’s latest single is the perfect song to, in the words of Jim Henson’s popular 80s TV series, Fraggle Rock, “Dance your cares away, worries for another day, let the music play…”  So, do yourself a favor, press play and let your body “Wiggle It Out!”
