Matt Tarka - “Heartbreak & Euphoria”
Back in February, I had the pleasure of not only premiering singer/songwriter Matt Tarka’s single, “Good Morning Sympathy,” but I also had the opportunity to interview Tarka, as well. “GMS” was the first premiere and interview for Music Meds By Mel. So, when Matt reached out to ask me if I’d like to share another exclusive, it was a no brainer.
Tarka released his latest single, “Heartbreak & Euphoria” back on May 14th, but now he is releasing a lyric video to this track, which will give the listener the chance to sing along with Tarka on this foot tapping tune. Like “Good Morning Sympathy,” Tarka continues to write lyrics that are not only thought-provoking, but poetic. The images that appear with each lyric on the music video, also seem to fit this same mold. When you hear the music in “Heartbreak & Euphoria,” you’ll travel back in time to bands like REM or Gin Blossoms with the 90s alternative rock vibe.
